Indo-Greek King Hippostratos ruled the central and north-western Punjab and Pushkalavati.This Silver Tetradrachm (9.73g) was issued by King Hippostratos.
Obverse is inscribed as Diademed and draped bust facing right, Greek legend BASILEOS SOTEROS IPPOSTRATOU around. The reverse is inscribed as Goddess standing facing, head to left, wearing kalathos, holding cornucopia and raising hand in benediction; monogram to left, Kharoshthi letter to right, Kharoshthi legend Maharajasa Tratarasa Hipustratasa around.
